Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone Ltd (APSEZ), India's largest port operator, reported a 6.5% year-on-year increase in consolidated net profit for the first quarter of the financial year 2024-26, reaching ₹3,314.59 crore. The growth was driven by strong performance in its logistics and marine businesses and higher cargo throughput. Bharti Airtel Ltd. posted a 43% rise in first-quarter profit to ₹5,948 crore, with revenue increasing 28.2% year-on-year to ₹49,363 crore and EBITDA up 22.3% to ₹28,167 crore. The average revenue per user (ARPU) surged to ₹250, supported by an expanding customer base of 436 million in India and a 21.3 million increase in smartphone data users, who now constitute 77% of the total mobile subscriber base. Bharti Hexacom Ltd. reported an 18.4% year-on-year revenue increase to ₹2,263 crore and a 33.5% rise in EBITDA to ₹1,217 crore, although its profit after tax declined by 23.3% year-on-year to ₹392 crore.
