Additional investments include $188 million for parks, pools, and recreation centers, $166 million for library modernization, $89 million for the RFK Sportsplex, and $400,000 for volunteer coaches. New York City’s budget also features $80 million in funding for early childhood education, specifically for childcare and preschool special education services.
