The International Shooting Sport Federation has awarded India hosting rights for two of its flagship events, underscoring the country’s growing stature in the sport. New Delhi will stage the ISSF World Cup for rifle, pistol and shotgun disciplines in 2027. The capital will also host the ISSF Junior World Championship in 2028, marking the first time the under-21 tournament will be held in India. The National Rifle Association of India said the back-to-back events will give domestic shooters high-level competition on home soil ahead of the 2032 Olympic cycle and strengthen the country’s bid for future global meets.
