Meta has launched its AI chatbot, Meta AI, in India across multiple platforms including WhatsApp, Facebook, Instagram, and Messenger. The chatbot, powered by Meta's advanced Llama-3 large language model, is currently available only in English. This rollout comes shortly after Google introduced its Gemini AI chatbot in India, which supports nine local languages. Meta AI aims to enhance user productivity and efficiency by offering text and image generation capabilities, as well as assisting with various tasks like answering queries and making quick searches. Despite being tested during the general elections, the chatbot's current language limitation has been noted. It will also be available through a dedicated website Meta. ai.
