Business Standard inaugurated its “Rajasthan Samriddhi 2025” summit in Jaipur on Wednesday, positioning the state as an emerging investment hub. Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma opened the conference, which convened policy-makers, industry leaders and investors to discuss Rajasthan’s economic roadmap, infrastructure priorities and regulatory environment. Industries Minister Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore told delegates that Rajasthan is a “goldmine of opportunities,” citing the state’s mineral wealth, tourism appeal and expanding industrial corridors. A separate panel featuring officials from the Rajasthan Financial Corporation and executives from Data Group of Industries and the PHD Chamber of Commerce urged the government to cut business costs, upgrade logistics networks and ease compliance burdens to attract larger private-sector commitments. Energy sessions focused on the rapid build-out of solar and wind projects. Executives from Rays Power Experts and the Rajasthan Solar Association said falling tariffs and abundant sunlight have positioned Rajasthan to lead India’s renewables expansion, provided land-acquisition hurdles and grid bottlenecks are resolved. Participants agreed that targeted reforms and streamlined approvals will be critical for the state to convert investor interest into on-ground projects.
