The following day, it further declined by 4 paise to close at 82.88 (provisional). However, on March 18, the Rupee edged up by 2 paise in early trade, reaching 82.84, supported by inflows but undermined by weak Asian currencies. Despite this slight recovery, it declined again by 4 paise to settle at 82.90 (provisional). On March 19, the Rupee continued its downward trend, falling by 4 paise in opening trade to 82.94, and later in the day, it fell past 83 against the dollar for the first time in a month, recorded at 82.9825.
