Rupee down 4 paise at 82.94 against US dollar in opening trade

The Indian Rupee experienced fluctuations against the US dollar over several days, as reported by various news agencies. On March 14, the Rupee fell by 1 paisa, settling at 82.82 (provisional) against the US dollar, with the Dollar Index rising to 102.82. The following day, it further declined by 4 paise to close at 82.88 (provisional). However, on March 18, the Rupee edged up by 2 paise in early trade, reaching 82.84, supported by inflows but undermined by weak Asian currencies. Despite this slight recovery, it declined again by 4 paise to settle at 82.90 (provisional). On March 19, the Rupee continued its downward trend, falling by 4 paise in opening trade to 82.94, and later in the day, it fell past 83 against the dollar for the first time in a month, recorded at 82.9825.
