Sourav Ganguly, former captain of the Indian cricket team and one of the country's most influential batsmen, celebrated his 53rd birthday on July 8, 2025. Over a 16-year international career, Ganguly played 424 matches, scoring more than 18,575 runs across formats, including 11,363 runs in One Day Internationals (ODIs) and 7,212 runs in Test cricket. He amassed 38 international centuries and is recognized for his leadership and batting prowess. Ganguly is also a former President of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI). On July 10, 2025, Sunil Gavaskar, another legendary Indian batsman and 1983 Cricket World Cup winner, marked his 76th birthday. Gavaskar played 233 international matches, scoring 13,214 runs with 35 centuries and 72 fifties. He was the first batsman to surpass 10,000 runs in Test cricket and is celebrated for his near-perfect technique and concentration.
