The Supreme Court of India has dismissed a plea requesting a Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) probe into the stampede that occurred at the New Delhi Railway Station on February 15. The petitioners, Anand Legal Aid Forum Trust, alleged that the railway administration was concealing the actual number of fatalities, which were officially reported as 18. The Court found the petition lacking in substantial evidence, leading to its rejection. Additionally, the Supreme Court also denied a separate petition concerning the parole of Ram Rahim, stating that it was aimed at targeting a specific individual.
