The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) has suspended Assistant Executive Officer A. Rajasekhar Babu for attending church prayers every Sunday in his hometown of Puttur, citing a breach of the Hindu Temple Body's code of conduct. The suspension reflects TTD's firm stance on maintaining a 'Hindu staff-only' policy. This action follows earlier measures taken against non-Hindu employees within the organization. Additionally, a minister has alleged that there are around 1,000 non-Hindus on the Tirumala Temple Board's payroll and has called for further action. Meanwhile, TTD officials, including Executive Officer Shyamala Rao, have been involved in inspections and review meetings to enhance facilities and security for devotees at Tirumala. Various political and public figures have also been noted visiting temples in Andhra Pradesh in recent days.
