The X account of Hyperliquid, a cryptocurrency platform, has been compromised, with multiple users warning others not to click on any links posted by the account. The breach was reported across several posts, urging caution and advising users to wait for official verification from Hyperliquid's Discord channel before taking any actions. The compromised account issue extends beyond Hyperliquid, with other prominent X accounts also reported to be hacked, suggesting a broader security concern on the platform. Users are advised to be vigilant and avoid interacting with suspicious links or posts, as there are reports of an inside job at X, potentially affecting multiple accounts and even being an app-wide issue. Despite the hacking of the X account, Hyperliquid's protocol and funds remain secure. One user reported losing everything after clicking a hacked link, which resulted in their account being leverage shorted and liquidated. Meanwhile, Hyperliquid's token, HYPE, has seen an increase of 8.4% in the last 24 hours. Additionally, there are widespread complaints about X's platform, including the presence of scam ads, bots, and issues with the algorithm suppressing posts and changing trending topics. Users have noted an increase in fraud attempts, such as fake emails and ads promoting scam tokens like GROK or ELON, alongside a significant drop in views across the board.
