The company grew to approximately 250,000 users and generated $189,000 in monthly profit with a team of eight employees. The acquisition marks a notable exit during a period of geopolitical tension. Following the acquisition, Wix has actively promoted Base44. Separately, security vulnerabilities have been reported in the sex toy maker Lovense's app, which exposed user email addresses and left accounts vulnerable to takeover. Additionally, a critical flaw was identified in the vibe-coding platform Base44 that exposed apps, raising cybersecurity concerns.
