On July 27, 2025, Jordan and the United Arab Emirates conducted a joint humanitarian aid operation, dropping 25 tons of food and essential supplies over the Gaza Strip. The operation involved three airdrops carried out by two Jordanian military planes and one Emirati aircraft, marking the first such airdrop in months amid ongoing blockades. The Jordanian Armed Forces confirmed the mission, with at least one airdrop executed in cooperation with the UAE. Palestinian officials reported that at least 10 people were injured by falling aid boxes during the drops. This delivery was part of the 54th operation named "Birds of Goodness." King Abdullah II of Jordan described the humanitarian situation in Gaza as reaching an indescribable crisis and emphasized Jordan's leadership in regional relief efforts, including sending aid convoys, coordinating medical support, and facilitating safe medical evacuations. He also stressed the importance of keeping relief efforts free from political influence.
