Kazakhstan will keep crude production at its present level through the end of 2025, Energy Minister Yerlan Akkenzhenov told Interfax on 9 July. The minister did not specify June output volumes but said production would remain “stable” even as some OPEC+ members weigh easing voluntary cuts. The government expects to pump about 96.2 million tonnes of oil this year, roughly in line with last year’s performance. Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov reiterated on 15 July that the Central Asian producer has no intention of quitting the OPEC+ supply-management pact and is striving to meet its quota commitments “as much as possible.” Kazakhstan has periodically exceeded its allowance, but officials say any overproduction will be addressed within the group’s compensation framework.
