Authorities in Kilifi County, Kenya, are investigating a suspected cult in the Binzaro area that may be linked to the Shakahola cult responsible for over 400 deaths. The investigation intensified after the discovery of a body, two human skulls, and four graves in Binzaro Village, located a few kilometers from Shakahola Forest. Several emaciated individuals were rescued from the area, and at least 11 people have been arrested in connection with the case. Concerns have been raised about more missing persons, including a Siaya couple and six children feared dead, with lobby groups suspecting over 40 people may have been secretly buried. The Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) has taken over the probe, uncovering additional graves and preparing for exhumations amid heightened security. This development has sparked fears of a resurgence of cult-related deaths similar to those linked to the Shakahola cult.
