A Kenyan court in Malindi has authorized the exhumation of bodies suspected to be buried in shallow graves in Binzaro village, Chakama, Kilifi County, as part of an ongoing investigation into cult-related deaths. The exhumation will be led by government pathologist Dr. Johansen Oduor, with the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) tasked to carry out the exercise. Authorities suspect multiple bodies are buried in the area, with the number of children feared dead in connection to the cult rising to eight. This development follows a similar case nearly two years ago, when over 400 bodies were exhumed from Shakahola forest. Additionally, two witnesses have testified in the Shakahola forest massacre case. The probe has also highlighted cases where children were taken by their father from Busia County to Binzaro village, with their whereabouts currently unknown. The investigation continues amid calls for government intervention to locate missing children linked to the cult.
