Gachagua apologized for the early end to his US tour, emphasizing his commitment to preparing the party for the upcoming elections. He is expected to arrive back in Kenya by Thursday next week. Meanwhile, DCP officials have raised concerns about a possible government plan to detain Gachagua upon his return, alleging intentions to forcibly land his flight in either Mombasa or Kisumu. Gachagua has also accused the government of collaborating with Al Shabaab. The party is focused on rallying support for its candidates in the by-elections, with Gachagua playing a central leadership role.
