Shim Jaehyun, a former vocalist of the South Korean boy band F.ABLE, has died from leukemia at the age of 23. Korean entertainment outlet MyDaily reported that the singer passed away on 30 June, and the news was confirmed on 2 July by his former bandmate Hojun through an Instagram post. Jaehyun, born in 2002, debuted with F.ABLE in June 2020 under Haeirum Entertainment. The five-member group released digital singles including “Burn It Up” and “Run Run Run” before suspending activities in 2023. Three members later re-launched their careers in a new act, ENPHAZE, while Jaehyun stepped back from public life. Details of Jaehyun’s diagnosis and treatment have not been disclosed, and his family has yet to issue a statement. Local media say the funeral was conducted quietly at the request of relatives.
