Bill Pulte, Director of the Federal Housing Finance Agency (FHFA) under President Trump, is referring two additional high-profile individuals to the Department of Justice (DOJ) for criminal prosecution related to mortgage fraud. This follows his earlier referral of Democrat Federal Reserve Governor Lisa Cook. Pulte has indicated that he possesses public documents submitted to the DOJ that reportedly include names such as Adam Schiff and Letitia James. Mortgage fraud, a crime that has historically seen limited prosecution, is now receiving increased attention under Pulte's leadership. Additionally, Pulte has encouraged the public to report mortgage fraud cases via an official FHFA email. Separately, it has been noted that Pulte, heir to a billionaire family and associated with Pulte Capital, attested under oath that his private equity firm would face bankruptcy without a $50,000 Paycheck Protection Program loan, which he did not repay.
