BlackRock has made a series of substantial purchases in the cryptocurrency market throughout July 2025, acquiring large amounts of Bitcoin and Ethereum. The investment firm bought 615 Bitcoin valued at $66.8 million and 9,955.3 Ethereum worth $25.3 million on July 9. Subsequent purchases included 1,136 Bitcoin ($126.25 million) and 60,673.99 Ethereum ($158.6 million) on July 10, followed by a single transaction of 3,950 Bitcoin ($460.75 million) and 108,718.82 Ethereum ($300.9 million) on July 11, totaling over $761 million. Additional acquisitions included 3,294 Bitcoin ($386 million) and 50,970 Ethereum ($150 million) on July 15, 3,566 Bitcoin ($418 million) and 56,934.19 Ethereum ($171.5 million) on July 16, and 4,157 Bitcoin and 162,199.53 Ethereum worth a combined $1.09 billion on July 18. On July 19, BlackRock purchased 4,225 Bitcoin ($499 million) and 113,586 Ethereum ($406 million). Later purchases included 1,204 Bitcoin ($142 million) and 86,652 Ethereum ($312 million) on July 24, 784 Bitcoin ($92 million) and 118,746 Ethereum ($440 million) on July 26, and 1,250 Bitcoin ($148.1 million) and 34,095 Ethereum ($132 million) on July 29. On July 30, BlackRock's spot ETFs acquired 1,340 Bitcoin and 59,309 Ethereum valued at approximately $223 million. These transactions reflect BlackRock's deepening commitment to cryptocurrency holdings over the month.
