The Eclipse Foundation’s ES token began trading on 16 July after a coordinated launch across multiple cryptocurrency platforms, including Bitget, Bithumb, Kraken, Bybit, Gate, KuCoin and Arkham. Spot and perpetual derivatives went live at 10:00 UTC, with Arkham enabling perpetual contracts slightly ahead of the broader rollout. To encourage early adoption, Eclipse said it would distribute 100 million ES tokens to users who tested the network before launch. Several exchanges are also running promotional pools—for example, Bybit opened a 4 million-token reward programme tied to deposits and trading volume. Eclipse positions itself as the first Ethereum Layer-2 network powered by the Solana Virtual Machine, aiming to combine Ethereum’s developer base with Solana’s higher throughput. The foundation did not disclose an initial market capitalisation, and pricing data were not immediately available during the opening trading sessions.
