Blockchain infrastructure start-up Boundless has detailed the economics of its forthcoming ZKC utility token and scheduled a community sale for 25 August on Kaito Capital’s launchpad. The project, which offers zero-knowledge (ZK) proof services that let blockchains outsource heavy computation to a decentralised prover network, said ZKC will be required as collateral for provers—typically 10 times the maximum task fee—and will be paid out as rewards under its Proof-of-Valid Motion consensus design. Boundless’s mainnet beta has been live for about a month. ZKC will have a fixed supply of one billion tokens, with 6 percent earmarked for community distribution. That allocation is split between an airdrop and a public sale: airdropped tokens will unlock in full on the token-generation event, while sale participants will receive 50 percent of their allocation at TGE and the remainder six months later. Pricing for the sale has not been released, and the date of the token listing itself has yet to be confirmed. In a separate move illustrating continued investor appetite for pre-launch crypto assets, Bitcoin-focused DeFi protocol Lombard plans to raise US$6.75 million at a US$450 million valuation through a community offering of its BARD token on the Buidlpad platform, with all tokens unlocking on the day of listing.
