The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has delayed decisions on several cryptocurrency exchange-traded funds (ETFs), including those related to Ethereum staking, Dogecoin, Solana, Hedera (HBAR), XRP, and Bitwise Dogecoin ETFs. Analysts expect final rulings on these crypto ETFs by October 2025, with a mid-October deadline around the 18th anticipated for the spot XRP ETF. Meanwhile, Nasdaq has filed a proposal with the SEC to list a 21Shares Dogecoin ETF, which is supported exclusively by the Dogecoin Foundation. This ETF would allow investors to access Dogecoin through regular brokerage accounts, tracking the CF DOGE-Dollar Index with cash-only creations and no leverage. The SEC's delay comes amid broader market activity, with Bitcoin holding steady near $95,000 to $97,000 and Ripple making a $4 billion to $5 billion offer to acquire Circle, which was rejected. The crypto market is also seeing developments such as the launch of Worldcoin in the U.S. and proposals for tokenizing stocks on Solana. Despite the delays, market participants remain optimistic about eventual approvals within the year.
