The announcement adds to a growing slate of interactive projects aimed at keeping the Bored Ape Yacht Club community engaged and drawing new users to Otherside. Community activity is also being fuelled by ApeCoin’s Wheel of Fate promotion, which remains open until 31 August. The campaign continued after the MultiRound Ball mint closed on 24 August, leaving 2,455,152 multiballs in circulation—roughly 245,515 potential spins according to OpenSea data. Remaining rewards include two Jigsaw puzzle pieces, each offering a chance to claim a coveted Bored Ape NFT, alongside other prizes such as Koda avatars. Third-party developers are looking to capitalise on the brand’s reach. Gaming studio ApesPlus and online operator GamblorCasino are recruiting 21 Bored Ape Yacht Club holders to feature their NFTs as in-game characters, while individual BAYC member KaMaKaZ_ee recently secured a Jigsaw puzzle piece through the Wheel of Fate. The flurry of contests and content releases underscores Yuga Labs’ efforts to maintain momentum around its flagship collection amid a broader slowdown in NFT trading volumes.
