The product, manufactured in Mexico by Colgate-Palmolive, has been linked to adverse reactions including oral irritation, gum inflammation, mouth pain, and dental sensitivity. The decision was made following consumer complaints and reports of these symptoms. Cofepris issued the directive on August 4, 2025, and has advised the public to suspend use of this toothpaste. The recall has raised concerns among consumers and dental professionals who previously recommended the product. Cofepris also provided guidance for maintaining safe oral hygiene amid the recall.
