Danone U.S. has issued a nationwide voluntary recall of every YoCrunch yogurt product after consumers reported finding plastic pieces in the brand’s trademark dome toppers, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration said on 15 July. The transparent fragments, located only in the separate topping compartment that holds mix-ins such as M&M’s, Oreo, Snickers and Twix, may have sharp edges and range from 7 to 25 millimetres in length. While the yogurt itself is unaffected, the plastic poses a choking and injury hazard if swallowed. All flavors, sizes and multipacks with best-by dates from early July through early September 2025 are covered by the recall. Danone is removing the products from store shelves and advises consumers to discard any on hand or seek a refund by contacting the YoCrunch care line at 1-877-344-4886.
