The Argentine coach had vowed in February that he would adopt the club’s signature colour if the Diablos Rojos captured the title. Toluca clinched the championship by defeating Club América, securing the side’s first league crown in 15 years and giving Mohamed his fourth Liga MX title as a manager. Using red spray dye at the team’s training facility, the 55-year-old recreated the flamboyant look he once sported as a player with Toros Neza in the 1990s. Mohamed is expected to appear with his new hairstyle when Toluca open the Apertura 2025 campaign at home against Necaxa on Saturday. Club president Francisco Suinaga said the coach’s contract has been renewed following the championship run, underscoring the organisation’s satisfaction with his immediate impact.
