Human Rights Watch (HRW) published a report highlighting abuses and degrading treatment of migrants in three detention centers in Florida, describing conditions as "dehumanizing." Among those detained are two Mexican brothers who were arrested and sent to the Alligator Alcatraz migrant detention center in Florida. The Mexican government, through its Ministry of Foreign Affairs (SRE) and consulates in Orlando and Miami, has confirmed the detention and is providing consular assistance and protection. Juan Sabines, the Mexican consul in Orlando, has raised concerns that the brothers may be victims of civil rights violations.
