Meanwhile, the Russian Foreign Ministry warned that Israel's decision to expand military operations in the Gaza Strip risks worsening the already deteriorating situation, which it characterized as bearing all the hallmarks of a humanitarian catastrophe. Russia called for an immediate ceasefire, the release of all hostages and detainees, and the unobstructed resumption of humanitarian aid delivery. The Russian ministry emphasized that the only viable solution lies within international law, focusing on the two-state principle and the establishment of an independent Palestinian state.
