The Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs emphasized the urgency of lifting these constraints to allow the free flow of food and medicine into the region. Concurrently, Palestinian resistance factions urged Arab and Islamic countries to take practical steps to break the blockade and rescue the people of Gaza. They also called for a general mobilization of Arab and Islamic populations in support of those besieged in the Gaza Strip, demanding the establishment of safe corridors for the unrestricted delivery of humanitarian supplies. Hamas, the Palestinian resistance movement, similarly appealed to the international community to exert immediate pressure on Israel to end its humanitarian blockade on Gaza.
