The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) have completed the establishment of a new 15-kilometer-long corridor named "Magen Oz" in the southern Gaza Strip. This corridor bisects the city of Khan Yunis, effectively separating its eastern and western parts. The operation was carried out by the 36th Division, including troops from the 188th Armored Brigade and the Golani Brigade. The IDF stated that the corridor is a strategic measure aimed at clearing Khan Yunis of terror infrastructure and exerting pressure on Hamas, specifically targeting its Khan Yunis Brigade. This development consolidates Israeli control over southern Gaza and further fragments the Palestinian enclave. Additionally, the IDF announced the resumption of aerial airdrops of humanitarian aid into Gaza starting Saturday evening, coordinated with international organizations and the United Nations. Humanitarian corridors have been established to allow safe passage for UN convoys carrying food and medicine to Gaza's civilian population. The Israeli military also indicated it would implement temporary humanitarian pauses in military operations in certain populated areas of Gaza to facilitate aid delivery.
