Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu met with U.S. Vice President JD Vance at Blair House in Washington on Tuesday, July 8. According to Israeli and Persian-language media reports, the two leaders discussed regional developments, bilateral cooperation and security matters. Netanyahu was accompanied by Strategic Affairs Minister Ron Dermer, National Security Adviser Tzachi Hanegbi and Ambassador Yechiel Leiter. Later in the day, the prime minister travelled to Capitol Hill for talks with House Speaker Mike Johnson and a group of lawmakers. The meetings form part of Netanyahu’s multi-day visit to Washington, which began Monday with a White House session with President Donald Trump.
