Warming Bernabel lined a single up the middle in the bottom of the ninth inning to give the Colorado Rockies a 4–3 victory over the Los Angeles Dodgers at Coors Field on Monday night, ending Colorado’s 10-game losing streak against its division rival. The rally began when shortstop Ezequiel Tovar blooped a one-out double that eluded right fielder Teoscar Hernández. Bernabel then drove a cutter from reliever Justin Wrobleski (4-5) past second base, scoring Tovar. Earlier, Tovar had tied the game in the seventh with a solo homer after Ryan Ritter’s two-run single pulled the Rockies level in the third. Victor Vodnik (4-3) worked a perfect ninth, striking out Dalton Rushing with Shohei Ohtani on deck. Dodgers starter Yoshinobu Yamamoto scattered seven hits and three runs over seven innings with six strikeouts, while Rockies left-hander Kyle Freeland departed in the fifth because of a blister after allowing two runs and fanning five. The win extends Colorado’s overall streak to four games and moves the club to 36-89; it must win six of its final 37 contests to avoid matching the 2024 Chicago White Sox’s modern record of 121 losses. Los Angeles, which still leads the season series 6-1, remains in position to secure its eighth consecutive series win over Colorado with one more victory.
