The Toronto Blue Jays are preparing for the return of outfielder George Springer and pitcher Shane Bieber to their major league roster. Springer, who had been on the injured list due to a concussion, recently played in Triple-A with the Buffalo Bisons where he hit a home run and served as designated hitter. Blue Jays manager John Schneider confirmed Springer would rejoin the active roster and be available for the upcoming game against the Texas Rangers. Concurrently, Shane Bieber completed his final rehab start in Triple-A and is expected to rejoin the Blue Jays' pitching rotation soon. To accommodate Springer's activation, the team optioned outfielder Joey Loperfido to Triple-A.
