Cleveland Guardians third-baseman José Ramírez opened Friday night’s game with a first-inning solo home run off right-hander Reese Olson, ending a 0-for-21 stretch at the plate and putting Cleveland on the scoreboard. The blast was Ramírez’s 14th of the season and raised his career runs-scored total to 942, tying him with Hall of Famer Earl Averill for fourth place on the Guardians’ all-time list.
