Brayan Bello delivered the first nine-inning complete game of his career on Tuesday, striking out 10 and allowing only five hits as the Boston Red Sox beat the Colorado Rockies 10-2 at Fenway Park. Trevor Story supported the right-hander with a three-run homer and four RBIs, giving Boston its fifth straight victory. The following night, designated hitter Masataka Yoshida returned from off-season shoulder surgery and went 3-for-4 with a double and an RBI, helping the Red Sox repeat the 10-2 score and complete a three-game sweep. Starter Lucas Giolito scattered four hits over six shutout innings, while Carlos Narváez, Wilyer Abreu, Romy Gonzalez and Jarren Duran all homered to extend Boston’s run of double-digit hits to seven games. Boston’s sixth consecutive win leaves the club above .500 and surging ahead of a four-game series with the Tampa Bay Rays. Colorado, which has dropped 71 games before the All-Star break, heads to Cincinnati having been outscored 30-6 in the Fenway set.
