Apple and Warner Bros.’ “F1: The Movie” added an estimated $12 million globally over the weekend, pushing its worldwide box-office tally to $590 million after eight weeks in release. The racing drama collected about $2.7 million in North America and $9.3 million overseas, slipping just 9% domestically despite playing in only 1,172 theaters. The film’s domestic haul stands at $182.85 million, while international receipts have reached $407.2 million. Premium large-format venues continue to underpin performance, with IMAX screens contributing $91.7 million to date. Made for roughly $200 million, the Brad Pitt-led title has reclaimed some IMAX locations as late-summer competition thins and will shift to home platforms next week. Prime Video begins offering the movie for rental on Aug. 22, with streaming on Apple TV+ set to follow.
