Disney's Marvel film "The Fantastic Four: First Steps" maintained its position as the top movie at the North American box office during the weekend of August 1-3, 2025, grossing an estimated $40 million domestically. This marked a 66-67% decline from its opening weekend, which had generated approximately $117.6 million. The film's total domestic gross reached around $197 million, while its international earnings added approximately $170.3 million, bringing the global total to an estimated $368.7 million. Despite the drop in weekend revenue, "The Fantastic Four: First Steps" surpassed the total domestic gross of Marvel's "Thunderbolts" ($190 million) and was close to overtaking "Captain America: Brave New World" ($200 million). It also became the highest-grossing Fantastic Four film of all time worldwide. The weekend box office rankings showed "The Fantastic Four: First Steps" in first place, followed by "The Bad Guys 2" with $22.2 million, "The Naked Gun" with $17 million, "Superman" with $13.86 million, and "Jurassic World: Rebirth" with $8.7 million.
