Apple Corps Ltd., the company that manages the Beatles’ music and wider intellectual-property portfolio, has appointed digital-media executive Tom Greene as chief executive officer, effective in September. Greene, 36, becomes only the third CEO in the London-based firm’s 57-year history, succeeding Jeff Jones, who stepped down last year after a 17-year tenure. Greene joins from esports company BLAST, where he is chief operating officer and oversaw twenty-fold revenue growth. He previously headed Pottermore Publishing and Wizarding World Digital, expanding the Harry Potter fan base to more than 50 million members. Greene will remain on the boards of Pottermore and BLAST while leading Apple Corps. In a joint statement, Paul McCartney, Ringo Starr, Olivia Harrison and Sean Ono Lennon said Greene’s “experience and vision” align with their plans for new projects. Top of the agenda is a four-film Beatles biopic cycle directed by Sam Mendes and backed by Sony Pictures, scheduled to begin rolling out in April 2028.
