Morgan Wallen’s “I’m the Problem” spends a 12th non-consecutive week at the top of the Billboard 200, shifting 121,000 equivalent album units in the week ending Aug. 24. The latest frame lifts Wallen’s career total to 41 weeks at No. 1, overtaking Adele for the second-most weeks this century and placing him eighth in the chart’s overall history behind The Beatles, Taylor Swift and Elvis Presley. The soundtrack to the animated film “Kpop Demon Hunters” holds at No. 2 with 108,000 units, marking its fifth straight week at that peak as the Netflix/Sony Pictures Animation release continues its successful theatrical run. Singer-songwriter Conan Gray scores the week’s top debut: “Wishbone” opens at No. 3 with 71,000 units, including 53,000 in pure album sales and 23.7 million on-demand streams. Rounding out the upper tier, Gunna’s “The Last Wun” slips one spot to No. 4 with 48,000 units, while Alex Warren’s “You’ll Be Alright, Kid” holds at No. 5 with 40,000. Billie Eilish’s “Hit Me Hard and Soft” vaults 18 places to No. 6 on 38,000 units, and Wallen’s prior set “One Thing at a Time” follows at No. 7, also with 38,000. SZA’s long-running “SOS” climbs to No. 8 on 35,000, Justin Bieber’s “Swag” falls to No. 9 on 33,000, and Taylor Swift’s “The Tortured Poets Department” re-enters the top 10 at No. 10 with 30,500 units after an absence since February. With this week’s showing, Wallen edges past Adele’s 40-week mark for time spent at No. 1 on the Billboard 200. Only seven acts have logged more weeks in the chart’s 69-year history, led by The Beatles’ 132 weeks and Taylor Swift’s 86.
