Lancaster County in Pennsylvania has been under multiple flash flood warnings throughout late June and July 2025, with alerts extending into the early hours and evenings of several days. The most recent warnings were issued for periods up to 11:00 p.m. on July 14 and midnight on July 15. The region experienced torrential rainfall, with some areas in Lancaster and York Counties receiving between 3 to 7 inches of rain in less than 12 hours. Flood warnings also extended to parts of Lebanon, Dauphin, and York counties, with small creeks and streams remaining out of their banks and ponding water on some roadways. Despite earlier drought conditions, Lancaster airport recorded 7.90 inches of precipitation in the first four months of 2025, followed by 21.73 inches since May 1, which is approximately 2.75 times the earlier amount. Weather conditions are expected to dry out overnight, with spotty showers and storms returning on Tuesday afternoon.
