Miami's roster is weird but it's a GREAT value add for them to get Norm at this price. If this ends with the Clippers also getting Beal post-buyout, then I love this for them, too. Get a pretty dynamic offensive frontcourt talent & can still bring back a gifted offensive guard. https://t.co/XuDo58TBOc

The Los Angeles Clippers have reshaped their roster, acquiring power forward John Collins from the Utah Jazz in a three-team trade that sends guard-forward Norman Powell to the Miami Heat. Utah receives forwards Kevin Love and Kyle Anderson along with the Clippers’ 2027 second-round draft pick, according to multiple reports released Monday. Collins, 27, gives Los Angeles a dynamic lob threat and allows Kawhi Leonard to move back to small forward. Powell, coming off a career-best season in which he averaged 21.8 points on 41.8% three-point shooting, bolsters Miami’s perimeter scoring at a relatively low acquisition cost. Love and Anderson provide Utah with expiring or manageable contracts and an additional draft asset. The deal trims roughly $6.7 million from the Clippers’ payroll, leaving them with $5.3 million of their mid-level exception and positioning the club to pursue backcourt reinforcements. League insiders say Los Angeles is monitoring Bradley Beal, who is negotiating a buyout with the Phoenix Suns, and could also explore veteran Chris Paul. Even without another move, the addition of Collins strengthens a frontcourt already featuring Leonard and James Harden as the Clippers aim to contend in the Western Conference next season.
