A Cessna 208B skydiving aircraft carrying 15 people veered off the runway at Cross Keys Airport in Williamstown, New Jersey, around 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, crashing into nearby woods and prompting a mass-casualty response, local officials said. Gloucester County Emergency Management reported that all 15 occupants—including the pilot—were transported to Cooper University Hospital in Camden. The hospital said three patients were in critical condition, eight sustained moderate injuries and four suffered minor wounds. No deaths have been confirmed. The single-engine plane is owned by Virginia-based Arne Aviation LLC and leased to Skydive Cross Keys. Authorities said the pilot had radioed engine trouble shortly after take-off and attempted to return to the airfield before overrunning the runway. The Federal Aviation Administration and the National Transportation Safety Board have launched investigations into the accident. Governor Phil Murphy said he had been briefed on the situation and urged residents to steer clear of the area while recovery and cleanup operations continue.
