U.S. spot Bitcoin and Ethereum exchange-traded funds (ETFs) have experienced substantial net inflows in early August 2025, reflecting growing institutional interest in these major cryptocurrencies. On August 6, Bitcoin spot ETFs recorded net inflows of $91.55 million, while Ethereum spot ETFs gained $35.12 million. The following day, August 7, Bitcoin spot ETFs saw inflows of approximately $281 million, and Ethereum spot ETFs added $222 million. Data from August 7 also indicated that iShares Bitcoin ETFs increased holdings by 363 BTC valued at $41.4 million, totaling 738,171 BTC, and iShares Ethereum ETFs added 9,077 ETH worth $35 million, reaching 2.96 million ETH in total. On August 8, Bitcoin spot ETFs added $256 million, with iShares contributing 1,191 BTC ($138.9 million), and Ethereum ETFs added $169.2 million, including 26,604 ETH ($103.9 million) from iShares, totaling 739,362 BTC and 2.99 million ETH respectively. Over the period from August 4 to August 8, spot Bitcoin ETFs recorded net inflows of $247 million led by BlackRock’s IBIT with $189 million, while spot Ethereum ETFs saw $327 million, marking 13 consecutive weeks of inflows. Weekly data shows that digital asset investment products had total net inflows of $572 million, with Ethereum ETPs leading at $268 million and Bitcoin adding $260 million. Other cryptocurrencies such as Solana, XRP, and Near also saw inflows of $21.8 million, $18.4 million, and $10.1 million respectively. Solana-based digital asset products have experienced six consecutive weeks of inflows, pushing year-to-date totals to $873 million. This trend underscores a renewed momentum and institutional demand for cryptocurrency investment products in the U.S. market.
