EXCLUSIVE: Erin Andrews and Charissa Thompson are both scoring lucrative contract extensions with Fox before the start of the new NFL season, sources tell FOS. The move keeps Fox's two biggest potential free agents away from other NFL media partners.
Fox Sports has reached new multi-year agreements with veteran on-air personalities Erin Andrews and Charissa Thompson, according to multiple reports. Financial terms were not disclosed, but people familiar with the matter described the extensions as lucrative. The deals secure two of the network’s most recognizable faces ahead of the 2025 NFL season, averting the prospect of the pair entering free agency amid intensifying competition for established football talent among U.S. broadcasters and streamers. Andrews, sideline reporter on Fox’s lead NFL crew since 2014, will continue in that role alongside analyst Tom Rinaldi. Thompson will remain host of the Sunday NFL Kickoff studio show while continuing to front Amazon Prime Video’s Thursday Night Football coverage. Locking in Andrews and Thompson follows the retirement of long-time Fox NFL Sunday analyst Jimmy Johnson and comes as the network prepares to air a record 11 doubleheaders this regular season. Fox declined to comment on contract specifics.
