Fox News Media said Tuesday it has licensed the conservative political talk show “Ruthless,” adding the four-host podcast to its growing portfolio of digital programming. Financial terms were not released. The show—launched in 2020 and followed by about 120,000 YouTube subscribers—will continue to stream on major podcast platforms while clips and appearances are integrated across Fox’s television and online channels. “Ruthless” is hosted by Republican strategist Josh Holmes, veteran Senate aides Michael Duncan and John Ashbrook, and social-media personality Shashank Tripathi, better known as “Comfortably Smug.” Under the agreement, the quartet will also serve as on-air contributors for Fox News, extending the network’s roster of opinion voices aimed at younger conservative audiences. The deal coincides with an internal reorganisation that expands Fox News Digital president Porter Berry’s remit to include a newly created New Media division overseeing opinion and non-news podcasts. Chief executive Suzanne Scott said the move supports the company’s strategy to diversify revenue streams as it pursues a previously outlined goal of generating about $500 million annually from businesses outside traditional cable distribution. Fox’s alliance with “Ruthless” follows a broader industry trend of legacy broadcasters partnering with independent creator-led brands to reach audiences shifting toward on-demand audio and video. Company executives signalled that additional podcast deals could follow as Fox continues to court listeners aged 18 to 45.
