In Pakistan's southwestern Balochistan province, armed men abducted and killed nine passengers traveling on buses from Quetta to Lahore. The incident occurred near Zhob city, close to the border between Zhob and Loralai districts, on the night of July 10. The attackers stopped two Punjab-bound buses, checked passengers' identity cards, and selectively shot nine individuals, all identified as Pakistani military intelligence personnel from Punjab. The banned Balochistan Liberation Front claimed responsibility for the attack. Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif condemned the killings, attributing them to "India-sponsored terrorists" and vowing retaliation. Authorities have recovered the bullet-ridden bodies from the mountainous region. The attack is part of ongoing violence in the restive province, where separatist Baloch militants have previously targeted civilians and security forces.
