The Supreme Court of Pakistan has suspended the Election Commission of Pakistan's (ECP) decision, dated November 21, to disqualify Member of National Assembly (MNA) Adil Bazai. The ECP had previously disqualified Bazai, but this decision has now been temporarily overturned. Additionally, the Supreme Court's constitutional bench has rejected a government plea to allow military courts to announce verdicts in cases involving civilians. Justice Musarrat Hilali stated that granting such permission would imply recognizing the authority of military courts over these cases. Furthermore, the Court dismissed petitions seeking to halt appeals against military court trials.
