Polish Farmers, Ultras Join Citizens’ Patrol Near Szczecin Border to Block Migrants as PM Tusk Fines Groups

Polish farmers have mobilized by driving their tractors to the Polish-German border near Szczecin to support the Citizens’ Patrol Movement, a grassroots group formed to prevent illegal migrants from crossing into Poland. This movement emerged in response to reports that German police have been pushing thousands of undocumented migrants across the border into Poland, sometimes using small dirt roads in forested areas. The Citizens’ Patrol Movement actively patrols the border to stop these crossings. In addition to farmers, Polish ultras have also joined the effort, demonstrating a strong local response. However, the Polish government under Prime Minister Donald Tusk has criticized these groups, labeling them as "militias" and has issued multiple fines to members of the movement. The situation has been described by some as a confrontation involving accusations of illegal migrant dumping and alleged government cover-ups.
