
An investigation has revealed that Weihong Hu, a self-made hotel developer, funneled thousands of dollars into New York City Mayor Eric Adams’ mayoral campaigns. Hu befriended at least three of Adams’ close associates and enlisted two of them to work with her companies. Following Adams' election, Hu's businesses secured millions in lucrative city contracts and received special treatment and favorable decisions from city agencies, bypassing city inspections.
