U.S. President Donald Trump said he has raised more than $1.5 billion for his political network since winning the November 2024 election. In a post on his Truth Social platform dated Aug. 27, the president said the money had been collected "in various forms and political entities." The haul, which surpasses the $1.4 billion in pledges reported by his advisers in June, cements Trump’s status as the Republican Party’s dominant fund-raiser even as he enters the second half of his final term. Under the 22nd Amendment, he is barred from running again, but the cash is expected to flow to Trump-aligned committees, the Republican National Committee and select congressional candidates ahead of the 2026 midterm elections. Campaign-finance filings for the period are not yet public, leaving it unclear how much of the announced total is cash on hand versus future commitments, or how the funds are allocated among Super PACs, joint fund-raising committees and the RNC. Still, the scale of the figure underscores the president’s continued ability to mobilize donors and could give Republicans a financial edge as they seek to protect their majorities in Congress.
